Importance of Fire Drills

Regular fire drills ensure that personnel respond correctly in emergencies and prevent loss of life.

Planning Phase

  1. Determine drill date (at least twice a year)
  2. Prepare scenario
  3. Assign officials
  4. Check emergency exits
  5. Determine assembly point

Implementation

During the drill, act as if there is a real fire. When the alarm sounds, everyone should follow the established procedures.

Evaluation

Always hold an evaluation meeting after the drill. Identify deficiencies and create an improvement plan.
